The Illusion of your Future Self

Have you ever taken a moment to imagine what you’d be like five years from now? Let me ask that question in a different way, if you were interviewed the common question that is asked in nearly every interview “Where do you see yourself five years from now?” on what bases will you answer?  Will you take a moment to close your eyes and see that illusion of your future self? Or will you just answer it based on what you dream you would be like? Answering such a question should be based on specific things in your life.

Because the future always depends on what we do in the present. Don’t expect someone who is very lazy and never interested in work to be very successful. The first thing that gives you a clue about who you would be in the future is who you are now.

Since past is past, don’t think about it, and don’t really think of what happened back then. Past has passed, whether it was sugary or bitter. We can’t change it, but we can work with the lessons we already learned from it and that way we can enhance our future selves.

Don’t only think of what job you will have, what car will you ride, or how many dogs you will own! Instead think about you’ll also fix what’s wrong in your personality right now. If you know that you have an attitude that makes you feel bad, then maybe try to change it.

Be more knowledgeable, enhance your mind. Try to read more, try to make your future self smarter, happier and filled with more knowledge.

As a summary, work hard on who you are now, to change who you will be in the future. Stay positive, to find positivity in your future. Help enhance yourself and your personality even if it’s hard. What you build in your youth will benefit you in your future.
