Murmurs rise into a cacophonous coven
Where slender figures
Emerge from the stygian walls
That enclose the worshippers
In a world incensed by ancient rituals,
But despite solemn chanting
The ornate alter now tremors
With the sound of a deity
Now long departed
But born anew in the mouths
Of all those whose blood drips
From gaping mouths
That ooze one final incantation;
‘How beautiful you are master,
How wholly we are yours
Blood and Mind’,
Just as an owl signals a rising sun.
